Rather than focusing on passive income, we rush to trade hours for dollars and remain a part of the “rat race”. Instead of staying on the same track toward debt, frustration and denial, it is essential to have the goal of financial freedom in mind.

In order to achieve the financial freedom you want, you need to consider yourself an entrepreneur and be ready to begin your own enterprises. It is difficult to get ahead when someone else is controlling your paycheck – and your destiny.

Having financial freedom means you have enough income to meet your basic needs without requiring paid employment. Passive income makes this dream a reality because you are earning money without working for it. You need to work to establish passive income opportunities but then they earn income all on their own, whether you work or not.

Sources of possible passive income can include real estate property sold for a profit, real estate rental property, stocks and bonds, owning your own business and getting royalties from creative works or your own inventions.

To really be able to support your basic needs, you should establish multiple sources of income. You can have several passive income endeavors going on at one time to ensure a constant flow of profits. If your enterprises become really success, you may even be able to consider retiring early.

You don’t have to be a mogul or a genius to earn passive income. Simply decide what you like and build a business around it. You can even sell products and services for other people on your own website, becoming an affiliate marketer who earns commissions for every sale made from your links. Those products and services can be related to something you enjoy so potential customers feel and catch your enthusiasm.

Establishing passive income is the key to the financial freedom you want.
