Learning about residual income opportunity businesses and how to earn money by working smarter and not harder are useful skills to teach teens in today’s tough economy. After all, if we had all known about types of passive income and residual income business opportunities sooner, we would all be financially free right now.

Teens from across the country were chosen to participate in the Entrenuity Summer Youth Business Camp at Wheaton College. The camp has taken place for three years at the college and offers students the chance to learn about smart investing and actually run a simulated business with a $500 stipend to invest upon completing the camp. These types of skills will help to create adults who can attain financial independence and ultimately boost the future economy of this country.

The campers are split up into groups of four or five people and they are required to designate the roles they play, from CEO to head of marketing. According to camp coordinator Tiffany Staley, “They have to learn how to interact together and grow together in order to be successful in their business.”

By role playing and creating real-life business scenarios, teens are learning skills they can actually take into their everyday lives to earn money and ultimately stay out of debt and achieve financial independence. One student said that, “This camp has taught us how to survive in the real world, how to live. I’ve acquired the knowledge to be financially aware of my surroundings. I didn’t know how to make a business plan. I didn’t know what residual income was, I didn’t know what any of this was and, you know, I’m not getting any of this at home. And now I can go back to my school and help my peers.”

The best part of programs such as this camp for teens is that they can learn and spread the word about the benefits of a residual business opportunity, expanding the minds and possibilities of students everywhere.
