Is passive income and financial freedom just a game? It may be if you are playing an educational, fun board game called Cashflow, which is definitely not like Grandma’s game of Monopoly.
The board game Cashflow was created by Robert Kiyosaki, the author of “Rich Dad, Poor Dad.†The board game teaches people about investing who may not have any idea of where to begin. The game is based on real-life possibilities, budgeting practices and business opportunities. The simulated game action gives players a change to learn how to calculate their incomes, liabilities, assets and overall cash flow. The cash flow in the game Cashflow is a combination of monthly income and investment returns representing types of passive income.
Kiyosaki states that the objective of the game Cashflow is basically to get out of the “rat raceâ€. A player is assigned a profession and then starts to wheel and deal in an investment environment. With professions ranging from a janitor to a teacher to an engineer, Cashflow shows that people from all walks of life can establish passive income and work toward financial independence.
The game worksheet is a tool used to calculate overall income in the game and is also useful to use to manage real life finances. The winning player will be the first to buy their “Dream†or to accumulate $50,000 in monthly cash flow.
To learn about passive income and how to attain financial freedom, consider switching Monopoly game night to Cashflow game night to educate yourself about money while having fun.
