If you earn a multiple stream of residual income, financial freedom seems to be inevitable. Financial independence does not necessarily mean great wealth but rather being debt free and having the time and money to do what you want. If you have simple needs, this may take less money than someone with elaborate tastes which makes financial independence differently defined by many.A recent book about the creative of passive income streams and creating personal freedom is called “The Intrepid Way” by Matthew Chan. He covers work principles, financial principles, the entrepreneurial mindset and the importance of professional and personal support networks to advance your business opportunities and earn monthly residual income for greater financial independence.

Although Chan has modest attitudes and expectations, he said two of his friends envied his lifestyle which is what drove him to write the book, stating, “In both cases, they knew I was not rich, nor was I living high on the hog. I simply lived a fairly middle-class life from a material point of view. Yet, from a lifestyle point of view, I was going to different places meeting different people working on interesting projects spending time on things that matter to me working largely on my own timetable. I had the monetary freedom and time freedom to do so.”

Chan does not focus on overnight riches but rather personal and financial fulfillment. His approach is a balanced one for a balanced life that is not dependent on wealth but rather satisfaction and he says, “There is no personal freedom if you have no time freedom. You also do not have personal freedom if you do not have some degree of monetary freedom. You must have both.”

By attaining the necessary balance and perspective in your life, you can earn a multiple stream of residual income for the time and money you need and want.
