We have discussed earning passive income from home in one of the hottest new communication mediums – blogging. The same people who followed mini series on television and novellas in magazines are daily blog readers soaking up the information they prefer online.
Your blog should be specifically directed at a certain target group and cater to pleasing that group. Talk their talk, offer products they want and give them information they need and will want to share with others to drive additional traffic to your blog.
As you build traffic to your blog, you will develop a regular base of readers and a following. Readers will begin to comment, ask you questions and want assistance with certain problems. This presents a new money-making opportunity for you to help your readers for compensation.
While you could help them for free, you will see all your time is spent on other people’s problems leaving you little or no time for your own business and site. You may even still be working for someone else at a day job so you won’t have time to help everyone who asks. Paid options help you to prioritize, take control of your own time and guarantee a response to readers.
You can still choose to help certain people for free - it’s your business. But remember, an employer pays you for your time and your readers should be able to decide if they are willing to pay for your time. This also separates the serious inquiries from the frivolous ones.
Other ways to offer help to readers is through a Frequently Asked Questions area, an ongoing newsletter or selling ebooks with valuable information related to your blog.
As you can see, blogging is a great way to make passive income from home and establish multiple streams of income at the same time.
