This week’s series will be all about earning passive income including what it is, how to get started and business ideas to get you on track. If you would like to vacation whenever you want and write your own paycheck, passive income is essential to make it happen.So what exactly is passive income? We’ve discussed it in this blog a few time but feel it is worth repeating and redefining to get properly started. The traditional definition is income made with minimal work from investments, including interest, dividends and real estate rentals. This is only a small portion of what passive income is today because of increasing opportunities online and in creative industries to establish ongoing earnings for the original work you did.

Now that we have a more complete definition of passive income, let’s consider the benefits of earning money this way.

-You can choose when and where you want to work.

-By taking on additional business or creating multiple streams of income, you can raise your pay whenever you want or need to.

-It takes a great deal of effort to start your income in the beginning but over time you will need to do little or nothing to appreciate ongoing earnings for your original efforts.

-You can break out of the 9 to 5 mode and generate money 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

-Finally your income is only limited by your imagination and you can earn as much as you want.

-Once your income opportunities are established, you can enjoy more time to yourself for friends, family, hobbies and vacations.

-You can start setting up residual income opportunities for retirement and retire at any age you choose.

-You can give more to charity.
